The renovation of Riche Terre Mall

What were the main areas earmarked for refurbishment during the renovation of Riche Terre Mall after 10 years? Why?

The last renovation of Riche Terre Mall was in 2013. The purpose of this renovation is to align it with our mission of shaping singular spaces. We believed it was necessary to upgrade all common areas, starting from the entrances, to give the mall a fresh and modern look using high-quality materials.

One key aspect of the renovation was to increase the mall's visibility. We addressed this by demolishing a retaining wall near the roundabout and replacing it with an embankment, while also extending the food court with an outdoor area.

Another important focus was to incorporate more greenery. This is evident in the new embankment, the outdoor food court area, and one of the toilet blocks, bringing nature closer to the shoppers.

The food court also received significant attention. We aimed to create a cosy and warm atmosphere where families, friends, and colleagues can enjoy their time together. To achieve this, we added three new kiosks to expand the food court offerings. Additionally, a kids' play area has been created for our younger visitors. Based on previous customer surveys, there was a demand for a restaurant, so we have provided a new 180sqm restaurant that will begin trading in November this year.

The gallery tiles and lights have been updated, with a particular focus on the supermarket area. Furthermore, the toilet areas have been fully refurbished with a new design, featuring more user-friendly and eco-friendly tapware.

How does the revamped Riche Terre Mall plan to be competitive in this part of the island?

The renovation of Riche Terre Mall focused on creating a modern, fully updated shopping destination for our customers. Many tenants have also revamped their stores to enhance the shopping atmosphere. New tenants, such as Mathieu Opticien and a bigger pharmacy with an expanded range of health and beauty products, will further enrich the mall's offerings. Our malls provide more than just shopping; they deliver a complete experience. Today's shoppers seek enjoyable and relatable environments. By integrating new amenities such as restrooms, a cosy food court, and a kids' play area, we have significantly enhanced the overall shopping experience.
