Alimuddin Paraoutee: "Taking a step back allows you to jump further, rather than always rushing".

Meet Alimuddin Paraoutee, our Operations Manager at Phoenix Mall. The sports enthusiast finds balance in his busy role through activities like hiking and rally racing. Staying active helps him recharge and stay sharp, both at work and beyond.
How do your sports activities help you manage the demands of your role as an Operations Manager?
These activities boost adrenaline and dopamine, helping me stay focused on my daily work with a results-oriented mindset.
What lessons from sports do you apply in your daily work, whether in teamwork, discipline, or problem-solving?
Sports teach discipline, principles, and a focus on results. In a rally, you need to stay sharp on the track, with the main goal of reaching the finish line while executing a clean race without hitting obstacles. The same applies to hiking—staying focused on the endpoint allows you to appreciate the beauty of the journey and the achievement at the finish.
What advice would you give to colleagues looking to balance a busy job with personal well-being through sports or other activities?
One of my favorite sayings is, Work hard in silence and let success make the noise. I believe in living by values and principles with a disciplined mindset. Sometimes, taking a step back allows you to jump further, rather than always rushing. As a child, I admired Action Man, whose motto was: Je regarde, j’analyse et je me lance. Stepping away from our hectic daily routine can bring fresh ideas and help us recharge, so we can come back even stronger.
